Strengthening Global Packaging Collaboration: Indonesia at WEPACK 2026

IPF in collaboration with WEPACK, reaffirmed its commitment to industry development by facilitating the participation of selected Indonesian delegates at this international event. This initiative aimed to strengthen knowledge exchange, expand business networks, and enhance Indonesia’s presence within the global packaging ecosystem.

WEPACK 2026 successfully presented a comprehensive platform for the global packaging industry, featuring eight integrated exhibitions spanning the entire value chain—from corrugated and folding cartons to digital printing technologies and raw materials.

A key highlight of the event was Indonesia Day, a flagship international program designed to foster collaboration and drive growth between the Indonesian and global packaging industries. The program featured keynote speeches from industry leaders, including Mr. Tomy Aritanto, IPF Director for Circular Economy Packaging. Initiatives such as Indonesia Day play a vital role in encouraging cross-border dialogue and long-term collaboration, while highlighting Indonesia’s strategic position in the Southeast Asian packaging market.

Indonesia’s packaging industry is currently entering a dynamic phase of growth. Driven by the rapid expansion of e-commerce, manufacturing, and consumer markets, packaging has become increasingly critical in supporting economic activity and enhancing supply chain efficiency. At the same time, sustainability has emerged as a central priority, prompting the industry to rethink materials, production processes, and long-term environmental impact.

IPF remains committed to supporting this transformation by promoting innovation, strengthening industry collaboration, and advocating for responsible and sustainable growth. We believe that close cooperation with regional and global partners is essential to unlocking new opportunities and addressing shared challenges.

In line with this commitment, and following the successful conclusion of WEPACK 2026, preparations are now underway for WEPSEA 2026, which will take place in Indonesia from August 27–29, 2026. Building on the strong momentum of WEPACK, the event will focus on the Indonesian market and showcase cutting-edge trends, market insights, and innovative solutions across the packaging industry, further supporting the sustainable development of the sector in Southeast Asia.
